This album was recorded
live and the Summit Jazz Party in Denver,
September 2002. It is a tribute to one of
the all-time great jazz pianists, the late
Ralph Sutton. Jeff and I were the last
guys to play duets with Ralph at the
Summit party in 2001. The producers,
Barker Hickox and Bill Torrey, thought it
would be a fitting tribute if Jeff and I
did a live album at the party in Ralph's
memory. Incidentally, this is one of Jim
Luellen's favorites. JS
