New Jazz CD reviews from the studio:

DUNCAN JAMES: Solo Jazz Guitar

The San Francisco Guardian has written, “Duncan James is a sensitive electric jazz guitarist with an ear for jazz standards and quiet ballads.” On his Solo Jazz Guitar CD, Duncan proves the point.  His 16-song set includes tunes such as “I Cover the Waterfront,” “Yesterday,” and “But Beautiful” with each selection being a “little gem.” To enjoy a taste of Duncan's sense of humor, check out his ending to Henry Mancini’s lovely ballad, “Dreamsville.”

MAGGIE GREEN: First Song

"Maggie Green is a new name on the jazz circuit, but word is spreading quickly about her. Regardless of whether she's singing a Brazilian samba or a Gershwin tune, Maggie delivers songs with sincerity and honesty. She captures the essence of a song, providing listeners with an intimate and relaxed feeling." First Song is a first rate collaboration of Maggie's voice and instrumental backing by the likes of, among others, Chris Berg, Erik Augis, Stan Smith, Joe Ong, and Roger Hines.
